About us
Boy meets girl, then Wine Meats Cheese...
Established in 2020, Wine Meats Cheese is a true passion project for its co-founders Daniel and Sally. Dan has always been involved in the industry, becoming enamoured from an early age. His father is probably most responsible for sparking his love of great food, cheese and of course, a good tipple! Dan’s first true foray into the world of hospitality was his work experience at the Café Royal in London – an experience in silver service and elegant soirees and from that moment he had discovered his calling. In 2011 Dan moved to Sydney, Australia and got stuck into the new and emerging fine dining scene, curating the wine list at Foveaux St Dining and the Two Hatted Queen’s Street Bistro in Potts Point.
Sally’s discovered her love for fine wine and cheese at a latter stage in her life. Having started in London working in finance at a young age, she developed her passion through experiencing some of London’s greatest restaurants and bars. It was a memorable trip to Barcelona that ignited her love for food and wine.
Sally and Dan met in 2018 and quickly discovered their shared interests. It was soon apparent that the both of them dreamt of having their own wine, cured meats and cheese bar. It wasn’t long before plans were drawn up, and estate agents contacted. Then, Covid-19 happened and all seemed lost. After a chance email about a bacon subscription, seeing that there was a love and a market for artisan products. Dan and Sally created their flagship product 'the curated box'. Small batch fine wine, high-welfare quality cured meats and artisan cheese. Roll on to 2024, where the discovery of a small vacant shop on Southend-on-Sea’s vibrant Market Place started the new phase of our beloved business. Wine Meats Cheese is back, and now we have our own shop! Finally, we have our own home,
where all our lovely clients can come and visit!

Validity Period: The voucher is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase. Please ensure you use it before the expiry date, as no extensions will be granted.
Non-Transferable: This voucher is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other forms of credit. Full Redemption: The voucher must be used in a single transaction. No change or credit will be given if the full value of the voucher is not spent. Lost or Stolen Vouchers: We regret that we cannot replace lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers. Treat your voucher as cash. Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or confirmation of purchase may be required to validate the voucher. Additional Purchases: If the total bill exceeds the value of the voucher, the balance must be paid by the customer at the time of purchase.
